Install new Fonts in Windows

Hello Readers!
"How to install a font in Windows ? ". Sounds easy, isn't it ? And believe me, it is really very easy.

Fonts are usually distributed as a package. So before installing them, you have to first extract the font files from the package ( i.e if they are inside one).
If the fonts you got are not in a package, there is no need to waste time. You can directly proceed to install them.

1. To install a Font, you must first go to the Fonts directory in Windows.
There are three ways to reach the Fonts directory:
a. Through the Control Panel, where the Fonts folder is present.
b. Type "Fonts" (type without the double quotes) in your Start >> Run menu and press Enter.
c. Manually go to the Fonts directory, i.e "C:\Windows\Fonts" (assuming your Windows directory is in drive "C").

2. Once you are inside the directory, go to Files >> Install New Font.

3. A box will appear which allows you to browse and select the new fonts.
So select your fonts and click Ok.

That's all you have to do. Your new fonts are installed in the system.

Or you could always just open the C:\Windows\Fonts folder and drag in font file that you downloaded. I think that's much easier with fewer steps.
