Opera : Export/Import Bookmarks (Part 3)

This article is the third part of the "Importing/Exporting bookmarks from various browsers" series.
After the first and second part which focussed on Firefox and IE respectively, this one will involve the bookmark Exporting/Importing capabilities of Opera.
The version used here is Opera 9.01.

Export Bookmarks

Of all the 3 browsers, exporting bookmarks from Opera was the easiest.

1. In Opera, go to File >> Import and Export >> Export Bookmarks as HTML..
Type the name of the file where the bookmarks will be saved.
Click Save and you are done.

Import Bookmarks

This is where Opera stands out from the other two. Opera has separate options when importing bookmarks from Firefox/Netscape and IE.
Besides this, Opera has its own Bookmark saving format (.adr).

A. Importing from Firefox

1. In Opera, go to File >> Import and Export >> Import Netscape/Firefox Bookmarks..
Select the Html file and click Open.
The bookmarks will be imported.

B. Importing from IE.

1. In Opera, go to File >> Import and Export >> Import Internet Explorer Bookmarks..
The browse for folder window opens with the IE Favorites folder selected by default.
Click Ok and the Favorites will be imported to Opera.

I'm finding Opera 9.62 particularly stands out from the crowd because it crashes each time I try to import bookmarks from Firefox...looks like I'll have to stick with FF.
