'Last Hurrah' of a Sun-Like Star

The image above, taken by the Hubble Space Telescope, shows the demise or 'Last Hurrah' of a dying star that is very much like our Sun.
Scientists think our Sun will meet a similar fate 5 billion years from now.

The star in the picture above viz NGC 2440 is 4000 light years away from Earth. NGC 2440 is shown shedding out gas which glows with the star's ultraviolet light. Ultimately, a tiny white dwarf is left out where the temperature is estimated to be more than 200,000 degrees Celsius.
