DivShare File Hosting! Better than Megaupload, Rapidshare?
Rapidshare, Megaupload got competition. Long have these services dominated online file hosting. And their share in the online File Hosting service is under serious threat, thanks to DivShare. What makes DivShare so appealing is, it addresses those issues that users, especially free users, complain most about Rapidshare and Megaupload (I guess that's why my post on bypassing Megaupload country limit slots still attracts a lot of visitors).
What does DivShare offer that the other two doesn't?
1. Unlimited Downloads
2. Unlimited Uploads
3. Files are hosted forever. Do no file expiry or time limit.
4. Upload files up to 200MB at a time.
5. No Popup ads or spam.
And all the above are provided for the Free account.
DivShare also offers Pro accounts with added features like:
1. FTP uploads.
2. Upload files up to 2 GB at a time.
3. Upload Multiple files simultaneously with Power Uploader.
Payment options for a Pro account are flexible too with $9.95 per month or ¢99 for a single file.
Besides hosting files, DivShare converts any uploaded videos into Flash Video format. The videos are encoded at high quality with a width of 560 pixels.
You can watch the video from the download page or embed it in your blog or webpage.
Off course, you'll have access to the original video file as well as converted Flash video file.
DivShare also lets you create and embed sleek Flash slide shows of uploaded images in your site or blog.
What's more, you can listen to uploaded mp3 files. The DivShare MP3 player too can be embedded in your blog or webpage which makes for easy listening.
Within a few months of it going live, DivShare has been adding an amazing array of features and too at a rapid pace. This surely looks promising compared to the other services around and has the potential to grab a big pie in the online filehosting space.

Anonymous - You have a very good point. As I see it, Divshare is pretty new on the scene and I guess it won't be long before they add download manager support. They are anyway adding features.

Hey, divshare do support download manager if only you change the extension of your files to .mp3.But, you must have internet download manager installed and click "play" button on the download page.Copy the "url" you get from internet download manager. There you are, you just got a "direct link" baby. For example:
http://s13.divshare.com/files/2007/12/25/3243733/1470_Shining_Force_Resurrection_Of_The_Da.mp3
Its real extension was .zip.Simply change the extension from .mp3 to .zip.Done!!!!!!!!!

filez0ne is better than both :D
http://filez0ne.com
Any audio/video gets converted to mp3/flv and can be played in the browser, plus you can upload a zipfile full of content and it extracts it and adds the contents to the zip. None of the others can do that ;)
