Quick Gmail Tip: Delete mail using your keyboard shortcut

Using the keyboard to work through mail saves me a lot of time and Gmail actually did a good job of providing keyboard shortcuts. Since the key list is a bit long to remember at first glance, I'll only show the one's I use the most. Hope you too will find it useful.

Before using the keys, you'll have to enable keyboard shortcuts in Gmail by going to Settings >> General >> Keyboard shortcuts. Select Keyboard shortcuts on and click Save Changes.

Now you are ready to use the keyboard to manage your mails. Here are a few of my favourite ones:

# - Delete a mail.
k - Move to new mails in the list.
j - Move to older mails in the list.
x - Select a mail.
! - Report as spam.

An extensive list of keyboard shortcuts is available here. So, which keys do you use more often?
