Stanford Students put Ebay in a soup with Firefox Addon

Some Stanford students have released an eBay Toolbar for Firefox even before eBay and Mozilla's jointly developed Firefox addon for eBay.

The Grooveking blog, which posted this information, further adds, the toolbar blocks external ads and let's users view thumbnail images of all search items on eBay including those which sellers did not pay for.

Well, this could just leave some ebay officials red-faced as the toolbar can grab some of eBay's revenues from ads and thumbnails. In any case, eBay should have developed some Firefox addons a long time ago.
Quite an appropriate situation for Firefox's slogan , 'Take back the web'. The power is with the eBay user.
