This Car takes Street View pictures for Google Maps

A few days ago Google introduced 3D street views for a few select cities in Google Maps. Ever wondered how Google gets the street level pictures? A car does it. Check the images below. (If you cannot see the images, click here & here).

It is a car with a 11 lens camera on its top. Immersive Media uses this Street Level View Mobile to take snapshots for Google. The camera on top is Immersive's patented 11 lens camera.

Apart from this, Google has also got its own vehicles taking snaps. And its also believed Google's vehicles have higher resolution than Immersive's.
So what do you say about this?
