Disable Yahoo Mail Social Updates

I find Yahoo Mail's social update feature spammy and annoying. Besides, it clutters the mail homepage. Here's a quick way to disable it.

1. Go to Options >> Mail Options.

2. The General Options page is displayed.
3. UnCheck the Enable Updates box near the Social features label.

4. Click the Save button.

The updates will stop appearing in your Yahoo mail home page.
Enjoy!

Hide Email Address from Spammers with reCAPTCHA Mailhide

Showing your email address on a webpage? Consider using reCAPTCHA Mailhide. It protects your email address by asking users to solve a reCAPTCHA before revealing it. A handy thing to stay safe from email harvesting programs.

Here's how to use it -

1. Go to the reCAPTCHA Mailhide page. Enter the email address and click the Protect it button.
2. The new page gives a url and an html code. Use any of them to publish your email on a web page. Enjoy!
