How to Tick Mark in Word
Here's how to add a tick mark symbol or tick box in Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet-
1. In the Insert menu, hit the Symbol sub-menu.

2. If you don't find a tick there, click More Symbols. A new box is displayed.
3. In the Font box, change the font to Wingdings. Scroll down to find the tick mark.
4. Double-click or hit Insert to add it to your document or spreadsheet.
That's all. Alternatively, you can change the font to wingdings and use the keyboard shortcut ALT + 0252 (i.e Press and hold the ALT key and type 0252) to get the tick.
For a tick box, the shortcut is ALT + 0254.
Don't forget to change the font from Wingdings after the tick has been added.
